Material study project: inventory planning

when creating this inventory we must consider one thing, who is it for? building a very basic character profile and game setting it'll result in a more coherent inventory and it also means I can commit to one theme rather than doing a super general inventory.

So first off what is the setting?

the world the character in I have decided will be a fantasy world, similar to the likes of Warcraft and Diablo which have classic oldy-worldy fantasy settings. The main enemy that this world has is vampires and this will help to inform what the character may carry. I'd also like the world to have some kind of traditional pagan influence such as amulets or general symbols.

okay, so who is the inventory for?

I think for the character the inventory is made for I will have a classic vampire slayer character, a gruff and simple man with one goal which is to kill as many vampires as he can. I think it could be intresting for him to have a trinket from his family suggesting that something may have happened to them which sparked the ' call to action' on the heroes journey ( a writing character scructure made by Josheph Campbell for more information click here). Based on his situation he may have a habit of scavening things from the dead to use later, a 'want not, waste not' attitude of sorts. He would'nt be fussed about apperances so there probably wont be anything like necklaces unless they are protective pendants ( or a garlice necklace but that may be leaning a bit to comical)

based on this what are some ideas?

- herbal medicine
- wooden stake
- protective pendant
- Blunderbuss
- silver bullets
- garlic cloves
- jarred medicine
-holy water in vile
